Oli takes on a lot of the non-project related functions (e.g. finance, communications, data) across the charity as well as running the School Programme in Southwark and Lambeth.
David Low
Head of Residential Planting & Tree Care Coordination
David manages STfL’s residential planting programme. He also oversees care and maintenance, working with STfL’s network of volunteers in regular audits and tree care sessions to ensure that trees are given every chance to survive and thrive in our streets.
Operations Team
Key to the smooth running of operations is a mix of staff, contractors and volunteers. Bringing dedication and expertise, these people help with a range of operations within the charity.

Trustees
Trustees oversee STfL's work, ensuring that the charity meets its objectives. Trustees make decisions collectively and work as a team to support the charity. Trustees are also responsible for managing the charity's resources effectively.
Secretary
Elly Bagnall
Elly currently works for the National Trust managing two historic properties and gardens. She works directly with local communities to connect people with places, and foster a sense of ownership and pride in shared spaces and history. Elly sits on the strategic board of the Arts Council England CPP project; Three Rivers, supporting community-led arts in the borough Bexley. She is an active member of the Bexley Culture Network and Bexley 2050 Partnership as well as the William Morris Network.
A resident of Lewisham since 2015 she has been involved in STfL for four years, initially joining as an area rep for Blackheath and Lewisham Central, then joining the board in 2023, fueled by her passion for ending unequal access to greenspace in London.
Chair
Sophie McGeevor
Sophie grew up in Brockley and has had a long association with Street Trees for Living. She first heard about the charity when she was working behind the bar at the Talbot Pub, where Brockley Street Trees (as it was then known) used to have their first meetings.
Sophie was Brockley councillor from 2016-2022, and from 2018-2022 was Lewisham Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment. As a councillor and Cabinet member Sophie was a vocal and active supporter of STfL and other voluntary groups working to fill the huge gap in local authority funding, and was always looking for creative ways to fill that gap.
Sophie now works in external affairs for the Environment Agency, in Flood and Coastal Risk Management.
Vice Chair
Jo Goddard
Jo is the founder of sustainability consultancy Green & Good Consulting. She has been a sustainability practitioner for 15 years and works with businesses to implement sustainability strategy. Her love of environmental issues developed whilst travelling and she has spent her career influencing businesses to better protect the environment since.
Jo has a deep knowledge of human rights and environmental issues and has sat on the UK Equality and Human Rights Commission Working Group for Business and Human Rights. She is a Council member for Heart of the City and an Independent Non-executive Director at Petrolube.
Charity Co-Founder
Xanthe Mosley
After twenty five years living in the West Country, Xanthe moved to Deptford in 2011 and joined a local amenity group as ‘Tree Officer’. She became Chair of STfL in 2019 and was a driving force behind STfL becoming an independent charity that same year.
Xanthe brings to her role at STfL a great love of trees and forests, and experience and knowledge about planting trees, which can be seen through her paintings and drawings of trees that capture in fine detail their structure, textures and vitality. Xanthe also has excellent experience of working in partnership with local authorities.
As an artist Xanthe enjoys capturing the essence of trees in daily paintings and drawings, and as a STfL trustee and co-founder she enjoys her community work to protect and nurture young trees so that they survive and flourish.
Xanthe was highly commended for the Forestry Commission 2018 Acorn Award.

Raj Joneja
Raj is a long term south-east London resident and finance professional with 12 years experience in roles ranging from web communications to algorithmic interest rate trading.
He is an organiser of Runhead community running club, the New Cross and Deptford Free Film festival and is a volunteer with Flysheet Camps who take underprivileged children on camping holidays in rural woodland near the Peak District.

Greg Packman
Greg has been working with trees since 2009 as a tree surgeon, consultant and tree officer, and feels very lucky to be able to see amazing trees and work in amazing locations!
Greg finds trees endlessly fascinating; every time you find something new it opens up a new rabbit hole to explore! Outside of Greg’s job with trees he does a lot of voluntary work with a number of organisations to connect people with trees.
